The Yellow Sea is located between the mainland of China and the Korean Peninsula and has an area of about 146,719 square miles. The sand particles from the Gobi Desert and the silt from the Yellow River turn the Yellow Sea a golden yellow. The Yellow Sea is 144 feet deep and from north to south it is about 430 miles long!
